boylestpeters1-280St. Peter’s Hospital dedicated its new patient care pavilion today. The pavilion is part of a six-year, $259 million campus modernization project at the Albany, New York, hospital.

The dedication comes nearly four years after groundbreaking on the pavilion.

The 273,000-square-foot, six-story building at 315 South Manning Blvd. is the centerpiece of the Albany hospital’s modernization project, which has been underway since 2005.

The project includes anew atrium, a 1,500-car parking garage, and facilities dedicated to cardiovascular, cancer, maternity and surgical services.

“Today is not just the dedication of some new bricks and mortar,” said Steven Boyle, president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Care Services. “It signals an important transformation in the way St. Peter’s provides health care for the community of the 21st century and beyond.”

The facilities were built by BBL Construction Services under the overall project management of Central Consulting Inc.
