Englewood Hospital and Medical Center: New Hybrid Operating Room

Location: Englewood, New Jersey

Role: Construction Manager

Project Overview: To improve the efficiency and quality of care, Englewood Hospital made the decision to construct a new Hybrid Operating Room. These specialized ORs allow doctors with different specialties to work together using this new technology. Hybrid ORs are larger then a normal Operating Room. In order to make room for the new OR, Central Consulting & Contracting will need to relocate two existing Systo Rooms. This involves working around the adjacent OR Clean Core. Special care is needed to mitigate the dust, noise and vibration associated with construction. Central, who has completed other Hybrid ORs is working closely the Englewood infection control staff to enact a comprehensive, proactive plan to ensure that nothing is disturbed and ongoing services are not impacted. The project is was completed October 2011 meeting both budget and schedule.
